What is Sports Medicine?
Sports medicine focuses on athletic injury, prevention, and a safe return to sport. Every athlete—and every position—benefits from a plan tailored to the demands of their activity.
Clinicians in this field complete additional training in sports injuries, orthopaedics, medical imaging, psychology, and rehabilitation, with substantial field experience and hospital rounds.
Assessment combines history, orthopedic examination, and, when needed, diagnostic imaging such as ultrasound, X-ray, or MRI to guide care.
Treatment may include exercise prescription, manual therapy, and targeted injections where appropriate. Care is individualized to support recovery and performance.
