No referral is needed for pre-approved treatments. However, you require a doctor’s note if your claim has ended and you have not received treatment in the last 12 weeks.
Yes, as long as its not the same treatment type (e.g. 2 registered massage therapy in one day) and it is recommended by your clinical therapist, we can accommodate back to back or multiple treatments on one day.

No. Once your claim is accepted by WorkSafeBC, your physiotherapy treatment is fully covered. We bill WorkSafeBC directly, so there are no out-of-pocket fees for approved treatments.
If your claim is still pending, you can choose to begin treatment and pay privately. If the claim is later approved, WorkSafeBC may reimburse you. We can help you navigate this process.
You have 60 days from your date of injury to have your initial physiotherapy assessment in order to get additional treatment approved by WorkSafeBC.
Treatment duration depends on your condition and recovery progress. Initially, WorkSafeBC typically approves 6 weeks of physiotherapy. Extensions can be requested based on reassessment and ongoing need.
Yes. Many patients begin a gradual return to work while continuing treatment. Your physiotherapist will coordinate with your case manager to ensure a safe and effective return-to-work plan.
