He has worked as a trainer for professional lacrosse, completed multiple sports medicine placements with various high school teams, and interned for 6 months in Washington under the supervision of the Seattle Seahawks team chiropractor.
Through his research over the past few years, some topics that Dr. Lascelles-Palys has developed a focus in include: the mechanisms of injury and subsequent rehabilitation involving shoulders and elbows of throwing athletes; building “strong mobility” in various sports movements, especially those that include lateral explosive movements, and; the unique anatomical variance of patients and its effect on their movements and everyday life.
Dr. Lascelles-Palys sees treatment not only as a way to alleviate pain or dysfunction, but as an opportunity for education, and working out the root cause of an injury to avoid a future re-aggravation. He is a very strong advocate for evidence-based practice, and ensures that his treatment style is constantly evolving to reflect the newest research in patient-centred
chiropractic care.
