Dr. Ali MAsoumi – SPORTS CHIROPRACTIC

Dr. Ali Masoumi received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon.

Interested in the field of sports medicine, he continued his education and received a Masters degree in Sports Medicine with a focus on exercise and rehabilitation.

Continuing with his postdoctoral education, he completed a 4-year sports specialty fellowship program through the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences and now is only one of handful Sports Fellow Chiropractors in the province of British Columbia.

Dr. Masoumi is also a Clinical Instructor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia where he teaches Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine to medical students.

He is also an active instructor with the department of Family Medicine at the University of British Columbia and accepts and teaches family medicine residents completing their sports medicine rotations.

He is the official Sports Fellow Chiropractor for the Vancouver Football Club at the Canadian Premier League, the highest professional soccer league in Canada.

He also has experience working at local and international events such as the IIHF Hockey World Juniors, World Cup of Lacrosse, UBC Men hockey team, IOC Americas Masters Games, World Cup of Softball, and PGA Canada.

Dr. Masoumi is a published researcher and an advocate of evidence based, patient centre care in Canada. On his days off, he enjoys playing soccer, reading research and spending time with his family and friends.
