
Dr. Ali MAsoumi – SPORTS CHIROPRACTIC
Dr. Ali Masoumi received his Doctor of Chiropractic from the University of Western States. Interested in the field of sports medicine, he continued his education and received a Masters degree in Sports Medicine with a focus in exercise and rehabilitation. Continuing with his postdoctoral education, he is now a resident of a 4-year sports sciences fellowship program through the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences.
Dr. Masoumi is a Clinical Instructor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. His responsibility is to teach clinical sports medicine and musculoskeletal health to family medicine residents.He is the first Chiropractor in British Columbia elected to this prestigious role.
Dr. Masoumi is an Internationally Certified Sports Chiropractic Practitioner and a proud member of The International Federation of Sports Chiropractic. Working with national and international athletes and promoting the effectiveness of sports chiropractic has been Dr. Masoumi’s lifelong goal and interest.
Working at prestigious events such as the IIHF Hockey World Juniors, World Cup of Lacrosse, UBC Men hockey team, IOC Americas Masters Games, World Cup of Softball, and PGA Canada are only a few examples of his recent experiences.
Strong proponent of evidence based practice; he is a Clinician-Member of the British Columbia Chiropractic Practice-Based Research Network, British Columbia Sports Medicine Research Foundation at the University of British Columbia. He also chairs the Conference Committee of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences, where biannual evidence based, sports medicine conferences are held in Vancouver and Toronto.
